We use what you send only to answer you. We don't sell or share your information, and there are no ad trackers on this site.
Effective October 16, 2026. This policy covers this website. “We” means Brett Hickman, a loan officer at Home First Financial, and Home First Financial, a registered trade name of CalHFF, Inc.
What we collect
When you use a form here, we get what you type. That can be your name, email, phone number, your message, and the numbers or answers you entered in the calculator or the loan finder. The forms are the contact form, “text me this” and “email me this” in the calculator, the loan finder, and the rate note signup.
When you call, text or email Brett, he gets what you send.
Like every website, our hosting providers see basic request details, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for. They use those details to deliver the site and keep it secure.
How we use it
To answer you: to call, text or email you back, to send the numbers you asked for, and to send rate notes if you signed up for them. Every rate note has an unsubscribe link. Using this site doesn't check your credit, and the forms here are not a loan application.
Analytics and cookies
We count visits with Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics, so we can see which pages help people. Google Analytics sets cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics doesn't. We also count taps on the call and text buttons, with no personal information. We don't send what you type into a form to these tools.
We don't use ad pixels or ad cookies, and we don't track you across other sites. Your browser's “Do Not Track” setting doesn't change how this site works. You can block cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out add-on.
Text messages
If you text Brett or ask for a text, he texts you back about your question. Message and data rates may apply. Tell him to stop, or reply STOP, and the texts stop.
When you apply
The online application opens on a separate, secure site run by our loan software provider. When you apply, you get Home First Financial's privacy notice for consumers. Federal law requires this notice. It explains how the information in your loan file is handled.
Who we share with
We don't sell or share personal information from this website. The companies that host the site and deliver its email handle it only to do that work for us. If you apply, your file goes to the companies needed to make the loan, as the privacy notice describes.
Affiliated business
Home First Financial and Seven Gables Real Estate have the same owner. If a Seven Gables agent refers you to us, they give you an affiliated business disclosure. The referral may benefit them. We work with Seven Gables and other agents across California. You are free to choose any lender, and other lenders offer similar services. Shop around.
Your choices
